Journalists cry for conducive working environment ahead of 2016 polls

Journalists have called on political players to provide a good atmosphere for media coverage ahead of the august elections.

Speaking on behalf the Zambian Journalists during the 2016 World Press Freedom Day in Lusaka organizing Committee Chairperson Enock Ngoma says there is need for political leaders to advise their followers not to attack Journalists as they thrive to cover the august elections.

Mr. Ngoma reiterates that journalists are messengers to the people who should not be harassed when executing their duties.

This year’s world press freedom day has been commemorated under the theme, “Access to Information and Fundamental Freedoms. This is your right”
