Civic leaders’ failure to educate electorate on referendum condemned

Civic leaders have been condemned for not doing enough to educate their respective communities on pressing national matters pertaining to the Bill of Rights and Referendum.

It has further been observed by some quarters of society that the syndrome of neglecting the electorate is what has created more social disparities because of personal agendas by political leaders.

The remarks were made by several participants at a Public Discussion on Referendum held in Livingstone.
