Former President Rupiah Banda has urged the media to help the country to heal.
He says the media can help heal the various political parties from political violence.
He says political violence is not in the interest of any particular group as if allowed to escalate may lead into Zambians becoming refugees in other countries.
Mr. Banda says dialogue is the way to resolve differences.
The former President was speaking when he met MMD President Nevers Mumba to resolve their differences.
