GOVERNMENT URGED TO DESIST FROM PROMOTING INEXPERIENCED TEACHERS

NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS HAVE URGED government to desist from promoting inexperienced teachers to head community schools.
Zambia Open Community School Executive Director Harriet Miyato says the concern is part of the findings in the baseline study on community school upgrading.
Meanwhile, Government says it has no immediate plans of taking over all community schools in the country.
Copperbelt Province Senior Education’s Standards officer Valentine Yumba says community schools have proved that they can not fail to run on their own.
