BNFA rules president Lungu off-side over Barotse agreement talk

The Barotse National Freedom Alliance-BNFA says President Edgar Lungu has no right to open discussion with the Litunga on the issue of Barotse Agreement of 1964 as it is non-existent.

The BNFA says as a lawyer, President Lungu must know that the Barotseland Agreement was declared null and void by a 2012 Barotse National Council BNC which is a highest decision making body in Lozi governing system hence giving the head of state no right to open discussion.

The Barotse separatist group notes that the people of Barotseland are the only ones who can decide the way they want to go with the Barotseland issue.

BNFA leaders were speaking at a press briefing in Mongu after a meeting with its members drawn from all parts of Barotseland.
