NAWAKWI PLEDGES AGRIC TO GIVE LOANS

FDD PRESIDENT EDITH NAWAKWI SAYS agriculture is the only sector that will help save Zambia from the poverty that the country is current experiencing.

Speaking when she toured some farms in Namwala district of Southern Province, Ms Nawakwi pledged to give out agricultural loans to farmers for the first three years if elected president in August this year.

Meanwhile, Ms Nawakwi says decentralization is also a solution to national development and poverty reduction.

She says the centralized system of governance has corrupted people’s minds resulting in inefficiencies in service delivery.
