The 21 bodies of Somali Nationals, who died in Congo after being suffocated in a containerized truck, have been transported to Mufulira.
This follows negotiations between the Zambian government and their Democratic Republic of Congo-DRC counterparts.
DRC authorities have also re-opened the Mwenda Border post.
However the Congolese authorities have insisted the survivors and the two Zambian drivers at the helm of the scam will remain detained in that country.
They have stated that the incident happened in their own territory and therefore they should have total control of the whole issue.
Heavily armed army contingent from Kinshasa has since arrived at Mwenda border post to beef up security as the authorities fear that the situation may eventually turn volatile.
