Education Sector Challenges: Teachers Using Dry Cassava as Chalk in Western Province

Challenges in the education sector have continued with Teachers at Matoya Community School in Nkeyema District of Western Province using dried Cassava to write on black boards as chalk.
Our staffer Lloyd Kapusa is in Nkeyema District reports that pupils sit in an open air classroom.
At the end of the day, the teachers are being paid maize and other food stuffs by the villagers.
