The Southern Africa Resource Watch has admitted that the civil society has done little to provide recommendations to government and the mining companies in preventing the 2015 job losses in the mining industry.
Country Co-ordinator Edward Lange says civil society organizations did not highlight some of the solutions that can be applied between the employers and employees.
He has since stated that the promotion of dialogue at the mining indaba will be appropriate in safeguarding mine workers.
