The United States Dollar was buying at 10.8 and selling at 11.02 while the British Pound was buying at 15.36 and selling at 15.68.
The Euro was buying at 12.13 and selling at 12.38 with the South African Rand buying at 0.71 and selling at 0.72.
According to Cavmont Bank the Kwacha which is currently at above K 11 levels on interbank, its lowest levels in two months despite seeing some increased supply from exporters.
Current trends seem to suggest that the local unit is likely to continue being driven by demand and supply factors with a slight bias towards depreciation should supply remain low.
