LCC To Raise Retirees Due Through Sale Of Assets

The Lusaka City Council has disclosed that it is in the process of selling its assets to raise money for its retirees.
Council Spokesperson Habenzu Mulunda says the Ministry of Local Government has already approved the sale of non-performing assets to facilitate the payment of retirees’ dues which amount to about Twenty-eight Million.
Mr Mulunda says the Local Authority will also start remitting over K400,000 Kwacha to the Local Government Authorities Supenuation Fund-LASF.
LCC retirees have for sometime now been frequenting the Lusaka City Council demanding their dues.
