Police in Lusaka have arrested a Patriotic Front-PF cadre for attacking UPND supporters.The cadre identified as Kufekisa Sikota, is said to have attacked the UPND supporters in Lusaka’s Kanyama compound.
Assistant Police Public Relations Officer Esther Mwata Katongo says Sikota was among the PF cadres who attacked UPND Parliamentary candidate Samuel Mwale as he was mounting a Public Address system on his vehicle near Lady Diana School.
The PF cadres also stonned Mr Mwale’s vehicle and broke window panes at the Lady Diana school also owned by the Parliamentary candidate on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, a Lusaka clergyman has called on the law enforcers to ensure they equitably apply the law against perpetrators of violence regardless political affiliation.
Apostle Christopher Kunda of Presence of GOD Ministries has since urged political party leaders to tame their cadres.
