President Edgar Lungu has promised to build a University in Luapula province if his government is given another mandate in the August elections.
He told hundreds of residents at a rally in Mwense that the university will be named after late Second Republican President DR. Fredrick Chiluba.
The president also held rallies in
Mambilima and Pambashe constituencies in mushota area, pledging to continue with the path of development in all parts of the country.
His fourth and final rally of the day was held in Kawambwa central constituency.
Earlier in the day president Lungu met four chiefs of Mwense who urged him to continue upgrading roads for easy access to markets by farmers.
The traditional leaders represented by chief Mulundu condemned acts of violence perpetrated by political party cadres.
