Road Horror Leaves Five Pupils, Teacher Dead


Five pupils of Hillcrest Technical Secondary School have died in a road accident in Choma District.
The accident happened about five kilometers from the central business district of Choma.
A Mitsubishi Bus Registration Number AJC 5110 belonging to the School which was being driven by Joseph Kafwimbi collided with a trailer of a stationary truck as there was an oncoming vehicle in front.
And General Education Minister, DR. John Phiri has expressed regret on the untimely death of 5 pupils and 1 teacher from Hillcrest Technical Secondary school in road traffic.
The Minister has also conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and school management.
Dr Phiri says all funeral expenses will be borne by Government and all arrangements will be communicated.
The Ministry of General Education has since suspended the Coca Cola sporting event that was scheduled to start today in Monze at Canicius Secondary school, until further notice.
