Under 17 Coach Fired

Zambia under 17 Coach Chris Kaunda has been fired as Head Coach of the young Chipopolo.
Kaunda who until last week was recruiting under 17 players for the 2017 African youth championship slated for Madagascar was told by phone through Technical Director’s office Honor Janza that his services are no longer needed by the Football Association of Zambia FAZ.
Speaking to Muvi TV sports, Kaunda said no reasons have been given for his dismissal, although he was not shocked to have been relieved of his duties.
Kaunda will go down in history as the first coach to have qualified the under 17 to its first ever African youth championship that was hosted by Niger in 2014.
Last week the football Association of Zambia fired senior national team doctor Joseph Kabungo.
