YALI Calls For Issue Based Campaigns

The Young African Leaders Initiative has challenged political parties to conduct issue-based campaigns unlike perpetrating violence.
YALI President Andrew Ntewewe has charged that Zambians would be doing themselves a disservice if violence is allowed to reign in politics at the expense of peace.
He adds that the onus is with the youths to discourage violent schemes that are often spearheaded by the older generation that puts aside democratic tenets in a desperate bid to win the country’s top seats.
Mr. Ntewewe made the remarks during a stakeholders meeting held in Livingstone.
