Sluggish Handling Of Payment Of Benefits Angers LCC Retirees

Lusaka City Council-LCC retirees are concerned with the slow pace at which the issue of their benefits is being handled.
The retirees say the Local Authority is taking its time to sell off assets meant to raise funds as promised.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Local Government Permanent Secretary Amos Maplupenga says over 60 percent of the money needed to pay the retirees has been raised.
He says the payments will start during the course of the week.
