PF, UPND sign National Conflict Management deal

The ruling Patriotic Front together with its closest rival, the UPND have finally signed an agreement on National Conflict Management ahead of this year’s general elections.
This follows a complaint by UPND over the use of Zambia Air Force resources by the PF for partisan purpose.
In a press statement released by ECZ Public Relations Manager, Crispin Akufuna, the two parties have agreed that political parties should not use state resources to campaign for the benefit of any political party or candidate.
However, it was agreed that only the Republican President and Vice President are allowed by law to use state resources.
UPND Secretary General, Stephen Katuka together with him counterpart PF Secretary General Davies Chama signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties.
