Government Lifts Timber Concession Ban

Government has lifted the suspension on the issuance and renewal of forest concession licenses.
Lands minister Christabel Ngimbu has since advised individuals and organizations to apply for small, medium or large scale cutting and processing of timber across the country.
Ms. Ngimbu has also disclosed that two million United States dollars was raised from the sale of the Mukula logs recently auctioned.
