Illegally Constructed Libala Township Structures Face Demolition

The Lusaka City Council-LCC has begun the process of demolishing structures built on a land meant for an access road in Libala Township.
Council Public Relations Manager Habenzu Mulunda says the council police have since been notified of the need to demolish the structures.
Mr. Mulunda says the local authority will swing in action once the proposed budget is approved and funds released.
A Mr. Christopher Manda who manages an organization said to be supporting the make Zambia Clean campaign is said to be behind the illegal construction works.
Mr Manda has allegedly ignored summons sent to him by the council.
