Low Levels Of Women Participation In Politics Saddens NGO

A Non-governmental organisation called Advocacy on Human Development has lamented the low levels of women participation in this year’s polls.
Project coordinator Chris Mweemba says it is sad that despite calls to increase the numbers of women in parliament, most political parties paid a deaf ear to adopting women in leadership positions.
He made the remarks during the stakeholders Capacity Building meeting on Women in Politics held in Kitwe under the umbrella of Non-Governmental Coordinating Council.
