Political Violence Saddens Election Observers

The International Conference on the Great Lakes Region is concerned with some reports of violence that have marred this year’s campaigns.
Observer Mission Head of Delegation Dr Wilfred Machage is, however, hopeful that the violence that has been exhibited during campaigns will not cause voter apathy.
He has urged political players to ensure peaceful, free and fair elections.
And Observer Mission Executive Director Frank Okuthe says Zambia has been known to be a role model for peace in Africa and ought to preserve its peace.
