BETUZ Want More Teachers Recruited

The Basic education teachers union of Zambia-BETUZ-says the 6000 teachers who have just been recruited are a drop in the ocean as the teacher shortage is huge.
BETUZ secretary general Jeffrey Simuntala says at least recruiting 10,000 teachers annually would help cushion the shortage.
He has since appealed to government to consider putting up a deliberate policy that will allow recruiting of teachers annually.
