Celebration In Ndola And Kitwe Bring City To Halt

Celebrations have forced banks and commercial activities to be suspended as joyful youths cheer the re-election of Zambia’s president, Edgar Lungu.
A check in Luanshya, Ndola and Kitwe found that residents took to the streets in their hundreds jubilating with vehicles celebrating the victory of Mr. Lungu.
The jubilation commenced immediately after Mr. Lungu was declared winner by returning officer Justice Esau Chulu.
Police have been deployed to ensure that there was no breakdown of law and order.
