Constitutional Court’s Ruling On Illegal Ministers Cheers

Meanwhile, the Law Association of Zambia-LAZ is happy with the constitutional court’s order for Ministers and their Deputies to vacate offices and payback allowances they received during their illegal stay in office.
LAZ Vice President Eddie Mwitwa, however, says the judgement has grave implications.
On Monday, August 8, 2016 Constitution Court President Hilda Chibomba ordered Ministers and their Deputies to vacate their offices as the basis upon which they were appointed from, never existed following the dissolution of parliament and the assenting of the constitution amendment bill into law.
