Court Sets September 6 As Date For Plea In Contaminated Fuel Case

The Lusaka magistrate court has set September 6, 2016 as date for plea in a matter in which former Energy Permanent Secretary Charity Mwansa and Director Charles Mulenga is jointly charged for abuse of authority of office and theft by servant.
The duo is alleged to have contracted Trafigura to supply Zambia Twenty Four Thousand, Six Hundred and Twenty-six Cubic Litres of Petrol at a cost of Twenty Four Million without adhering to contract terms of payment.
The matter was scheduled for plea but could not take off as the trial court was absent.
