Court Sets Trail Date In GBM Violence Case

The Lusaka magistrate court has set September 28 as date for trial in a matter in which UPND vice president for administration Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba is facing a charge of proposing violence.
Earlier when the matter came up before senior resident magistrate Jenifer Bwalya, Mr. Mwamba’s defense lawyer Martha mushipe applied for an adjournment as Mr. Mwamba is unwell.
Mr. Mwamba is on 2nd March 2016 alleged to have uttered a statement in which he threatened violence on President Edgar Lungu.
