Disorganization Blamed For Referendum Flop

The Alliance for Good Governance has noted that the referendum was destined to fail because of the disorganization that characterized its publicity ahead of the general elections.
Alliance president Joseph Chileshe says the lack of sensitization and the strong rejection stance from the opposition was clear that the referendum would flop.
Mr. Chileshe has since called for the issue to be redressed in order to give direction on the important national exercise.
On Friday, Electoral Commission of Zambia Chairperson, Justice Esau Chulu announced that the Referendum on a new Bill of Rights and Article 79 had failed.
