EU Observer Mission Grills Pres. Lungu Over Habit Of Cancelling Opposition Rallies

The European Union Observer Mission has grilled President Edgar Lungu over his habit of cancelling rallies for the opposition UPND.
Observer Mission member Michael Gahler says the mission has received information that the opposition has limited access to the electorate as their rallies were being cancelled on pretext of security concerns.
But in his response, President Lungu accused the European Union of being fed with what he claimed to be unfounded information.
Mr Lungu also claimed that no one had cancelled the UPND rally which was scheduled for Kitwe’s Freedom Park as his meetings were scheduled for some rural areas.
This was during a meeting held at State House.
