PF Cadres Beat Up UPND Supporters, Burn Police Vehicle As Part Of Celebrations

As a way of celebrating the outcome of elections, some Patriotic Front-PF cadres have resorted to burn down houses and other properties belonging to the opposition UPND.
In Lusaka’s Kanyama compound, several UPND supporters have been beaten up while others have had their cars burnt.
One of the residents in Kanyama, Aaron Kalunga has his leg broken while several women have been attacked in Chawama Compound.
The PF cadres have also damaged the UPND Secretariate in Lusaka’s Rhodespark where they also got away with computers.
And UPND Member Rachael Chileshe wonders why the PF cadres have resorted to attacking their opponents if indeed what they are celebrating is a genuine win.
Meanwhile, Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga says the PF cadres have set ablaze a police vehicle in Kapiri Mposhi.
Mr Hamoonga says the burnt vehicle, registration Number ZP 1771B was being driven by Chief Inspector Chibuye of Kapiri Traffic at the time of the incident.
He says a cadre identified as Sampa Mwape has since been arrested and charged.
