President Elect Inauguration Postponed

The inauguration ceremony of the President elect, Edgar Lungu which was to take place next week on Tuesday has been postponed.
Secretary to the cabinet, Roland Msiska says this follows the filling in of the Presidential election petition by the UPND in the constitutional court.
He says the postponement also includes the inauguration of the Vice President elect Inonge Wina.
Dr. Msiska has however clarified that in the meantime President elect Edgar Lungu remains President of the Republic and commander in chief of the armed forces in charge of the state pending the determination of the petition in constitutional court within 14days.
This is contained in a statement made available to MUVI TV News by Dr. Msiska.
The UPND petitioned the presidential election yesterday.
