Residents of Mbongo village in Solwezi have rejected results of water samples done by Kansanshi mines to test for acidic materials which were suspected to have spilled into a nearby stream.
The residents want an independent chemist is engaged.
But Kansanshi Public relations manager Geofrey Msiska says the mine is certain that there was no water pollution as samples have revealed.
This comes after residents discovered foreign particles in the Kisengesenge stream water and grass drying up, raising fears of water pollution.
