Zambia’s Just Ended Elections Not Credible-FODEP

The Foundation for Democratic Process-FODEP has observed that the just ended elections were marred with serious irregularities in vote tallying.
FODEP President Shepherd Chilombe says there were serious discrepancy in the totaling of the Presidential votes by the Electoral Commission of Zambia-ECZ.
Mr. Chilombe further observes that declared results for Lundazi constituency for the Patriotic Front-PF’s Edgar Lungu exceeded the total number of valid votes cast.
He says going by the number of irregularities cited, the elections failed to adhere to the republican constitution, electoral process act, regional and international standards for a free, fair and credible election.
