Street Vending Flourishes In Lusaka

Street vending is thriving in Lusaka’s Central Business District with every available space taken up.
In 2014, the Lusaka City Council planned to remove some vendors and relocate them to the car park adjacent to Simonson building.
However this project has come to nothing, while vending continues in the city with all its bad side of congested streets, piling heaps of uncollected garbage and increase in thefts.
