Chipata Land Audit to Resume

Land auditing for Chipata town in Eastern Province is expected to resume after the installation of the Mayor and councilors.
Chipata Municipal Council Director of Planning Namenda Kaonga says the exercise was temporarily suspended due to the just ended general elections.
Mr. Kaonga says Twenty per cent of land has been audited in selected areas within Chipata town.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kaonga says Chipata Municipal Council is in the process of securing Fifteen hectares of land from a named church for a new burial site in Magwero area.
