CSPR Calls For Economic Diversification In 2017 Budget

The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction-CSPR is expectant that the 2017 national budget to be tabled before Parliament next month will be more action oriented towards realizing real economic diversification.
CSPR Advocacy and Communication Program Coordinator, Maxson NKhoma says there is urgent need for government to ensure enough resources are channeled towards agriculture, tourism and manufacturing sectors to reduce over dependence on mining.
Mr. Nkhoma says it is saddening to note that no enough resources are being channeled towards the diversification despite the issue being the much talked about.
