Murder Investigation Launched After Death Of A Man In Ikelenge

Police in Ikelenge district in Northwestern province have instituted investigations in a matter in which a 43 year old man of Kayekesi village in Chief Nyakesa was brutally murdered by an angry mob.
Northwestern Province Deputy Police Commissioner Chola Katanga confirmed that on Wednesday 16 September 2016 unknown people attacked Patson Mfula who died on the spot.
Police have not yet established the motive for the murder.
However, sources close to the deceased say the victim was murdered following a dispute with some family members over land ownership.
