Zambia’s Judicial System Fostering Dictatorship-HH

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says he has resolved to take his President Election petition to International Courts such as the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice because the current Zambia’s justice system is allegedly corrupt and fostering dictatorship.
Mr Hichilema says the Zambian courts never heard him and never passed judgment on who the legitimate winner of the 2016 elections was.
Speaking after receiving a petition from hundreds of the UPND supporters in Lusaka, Mr Hichilema said according to the constitution, a petition must be heard within 14 working days but that this was not done but instead, the court only sat 10 days and unprofessionally threw out the petition.
And the UPND President maintains that he won the August 11 elections.
Upon arrival from New York last week, President Lungu said the UPND was free to go to the International courts as long as the whole issue is done within the confines of the law.
