15 Million Kwacha Misapplied At Ministry Of Education

15 Million Kwacha money meant for bursaries for orphans and vulnerable children in the Ministry of Education has been misapplied according to the 2015 Auditor General’s report.
This missing funds meant that many vulnerable children were denied a chance to go to school as the available resources were mismanaged by some greedy civil servants.
As if that was not enough the Ministry of Education has also been cited not to have retired imprest involving over K 5 Million Kwacha given to 97 officers.
Recently President Edgar Lungu said all those cited in the auditor general’s report must be prosecuted.
