Revival Of Zambia-Uganda Joint Permanent Commission Necessary-Pres. Lungu

President Edgar Lungu has called for the revival of the joint permanent commission of cooperation between Zambia and Uganda as it is an avenue through which social and economic cooperation between the two countries can be greatly enhanced.Mr Lungu says there is need for the two countries to expedite the implementation of the Comesa-East African Community-SADC tripartite free trade area in order to maximise the potential of trade.Speaking during the Independence celebrations at State House this afternoon, President Lungu also reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation between the republic of zambia and the republic of uganda.
And speaking at the same function, Ugandan President Yoweri Mseveni urged African countries to stop exporting its raw materials.Mr Mseveni ephasised on value addition if African Countries have to benefit from their resources.He has further called on African countries to wake up and focus on issues that matter.
