Zesco United say they are not aware that their coach George Lwandamina is in Tanzania to complete talks over the possible takeover of Young Africans on a two year deal.
United are reluctant to agree to overwhelming reports that Lwandamina is currently in Dar-er-salaam and will agree to personal terms of a reported monthly salary of one hundred and eighty five thousand kwacha.
According to a joint statement issued by club acting general secretary Richard Mulenga and media officer Katebe Chengo, the club says that Lwandamina is aware of his contractual obligations and the implications of the possible breach.
The club says Lwandamina’s three-year contract ends in January 2017 but admits that the two parties have not discussed life after the first month of 2017.
And Chengo tells Muvi TV Sports that as far as Zesco is concerned, Lwandamina is attending a funeral in Monze as he had requested to leave camp after Saturday’s barren draw with Zanaco Football Club.
