Public bus operators have been warned against over charging the travelling public beyond the recent recommended bus fare hikes.
The Road Transport and Safety Agency-RTSA-says Operators who will not comply risk having their service license revoked or suspended.
RTSA Head of Public Relations, Fred Mubanga says the increment for local routes is 25 percent which translates to One Kwacha Fifty ngwee.
Bus operators have increased bus fares following the recent hike in fuel pump prices by between 25 to 35 percent.
