Chipata Vendors Defy Council Directive

Street vendors in Chipata have defied an order by the Chipata Municipal Council to vacate the streets.The vendors have charged that no amount of pressure will force them out of the streets.And Chipata Member of Parliament Moses Mawere has told Muvi TV that vendors must remain in the streets until the local authority secures a place for them.Last week, Chipata Mayor Sinoya Mwale ordered the removal of vendors and gave a one week ultimatum which ends on Wednesday 5th October 2016.
