Councilors Urged To Push Gender Agenda

Female local government leaders from all political parties in the country have committed to use their influence to push for the gender agenda in their respective communities.

The mayors and councilors say supporting women participation in governance through community self-help is key in uplifting the status of women.

This is according to a communique released at the close of a two day national capacity building conference for female local government leaders organized by the Zambia Women’s Lobby in Lusaka.
