Some Civil society organisations have opposed the move by the International Criminal Court to come to Zambia to investigate electoral violence in Namwala.
Early this week, State House announced that a five-member-team from ICC was expected in the country to investigate what it terms crimes against humanity.
Young African Leaders Initiative Executive Director Andrew Ntewewe says there is no need for ICC to come to Zambia when President Edgar Lungu has already instituted a commission of inquiry to investigate electoral violence.
And Zambia Council for Social Development Executive Director Lewis Mwape says the move is misplaced as it eludes confidence in the local investigative wings.
