Kabwe’s Maipambe Settlers Complain Of Stench From Cremated Bodies

Some Kabwe residents who have built houses near the Kabwe Hindu Crematorium are complaining about the heavy stench arising from the human bodies being cremated at the site.
The affected families are from unplanned Kabwe’s Maipambe settlement.
One of the effected residents, Aubrey Himwemba has since appealed to the relevant authorities to look into their plight stating that the situation is becoming a health risk.
However, Kabwe Town Clerk, Ronald Daka says there is no way the local authority can move in especially that the settlement is illegal.
Meanwhile, Kabwe Council Spokesperson Anne Mumba says the Local Authority will start by investigating the immediate past area councilor whom they suspect had an upper hand in the existence of the named settlement.
