Near Punch-Up as Displaced Chipata Street Vendors Demand Trading Spaces

A near punch-up ensued at Chipata’s Saturday market as vendors who have been removed from the streets and relocated there demanded trading space.
The situation was only controlled by Chairperson Peter Soko who finally managed to allocate the vendors some space.
State Police in the company of Chipata Municipal Council have finally removed the vendors from Umodzi Highway.
