Over 95 Kabwe Council Retirees Remain Unpaid

More than 95 Kabwe Municipal Council retirees have not been paid their terminal benefits.
The retirees have been chasing for their terminal benefits since 2002 while others have since died.
However, Kabwe Mayor, Prince Chileshe has disclosed that the municipality will auction part of its assets to offset the K15.5 million owed to the 95 retirees.
He has also indicated that the local authority through the ministry of local government and housing is in the process of lobbying for an additional K15 million loan for the troubled retirees.
