Safe Drinking Water Still A Challenge In Zambia

Drinking clean and safe water is one thing villagers in Mlangeni Village in Vizenge area of Chipangali Constituency have never experienced over the years.
The people are still drawing water from shallow wells, a move posing serious health hazards.
One of the women, Dorothy Mbewe explains that water has been a challenge as the village and surrounding areas have no boreholes to guarantee safe drinking water.
Villagers in this locality wake up as early as 03:00 hours to draw water from the same points.
