Street Vendors Reject Relocation

Government’s indication that street vendors might be removed from the Lusaka’s central business district has been rejected.
Some traders spoken to have accused government of neglecting small businesses in preference of the well-established.
Minister of Commerce and Trade Margarete Mwanakatwe recently indicated plans to remove vendors from the street by re-allocating them to designated areas.
